In Tulsa, we finally got to meet our 4-month old niece, Emily. She is so cute, and such a good, quiet baby! It was great to spend time with my MIL, SIL and her family again and I hope we can meet up again soon.

All-in-all, last weekend’s trip was relaxing and much-needed, even with the long drives and spending $16 on Oklahoma tolls. I’m glad we got to do it, but I am also glad that we don’t have many plans for the next few weeks! I need to get the taxes and some unpacking done!

So… that didn’t quite go as planned. How about every month? I’m going to try to update my 2011 Knitting Planner each month to keep myself focused and finish more projects, so hopefully I can remember to do a little blog post.

Things are going really good, hubs & I are both employed again, so that helps! We’ve finally been able to move to a newer, bigger duplex. It’s only 3 years old and has 3 bedrooms, those are the main two things we were looking for. We are hoping to just live out our 18 month lease here and then buy a house next summer. Eek! I’m not sure if this will happen and I’m guessing it will probably take another year.

OK, that’s it for now. Hopefully I can remember to update this in a few weeks when I have some knitting progress done. We are going to Oklahoma City soon as well so I’ll have the scoop on that trip and some yarn stores there as well.

I’ll leave you with the good thought that Tigger & Daisy are getting along much better now and our little girl has plumped up to an adorable, squishy 11 pounds!

In January I started a new job at Cox Health here in MO, and it is going very well. I actually love going to work 90% of my days and this has been the happiest I’ve been at a job since I moved here. Yay!

Last month we adopted a new kitten, a 3-yr old girl named Daisy. She is still battling with Tigger for Alpha Cat status but it is fun to have another ‘baby’ around the house. Last month I also turned 30! Yikes! I’m not afraid though. It just makes me ‘older and wiser’… right? My mom sent me a loom for my birthday (24″ Kromski Harp) so I had fun setting that up and starting my first project right before we got Daisy. I haven’t had time lately to weave, being a part of 3 knitalongs, but that will change mid-October and during our Knit Together Springfield retreat Oct 1-4th I am going to let the ladies loose on it and maybe one of them will finish that project for me!

I am looking forward to the retreat very much, I need to finish up lots of gifts!

That’s all the time I have right now, but I am going to try to update this at least once a week for the rest of the year! Eek!

I just finished up a test knit for the Oz FFtC club, will post a pic once the members all get their pattern so I don’t ruin the surprise. It was very hard, but fun!!

My vehicle was crashed into, but I have never caused it to crash.

No, I call the police and they do it very well.

My temper and attitude. I had to work long and hard to overcome certain things about me that I didn’t like.

Not nearly. I miss the friends and hanging with them a lot but I was very different back then.

Most of the time. I’m still wondering if ‘adult mode’ will ever kick in.

Yes, but mostly to be funny. I mean, I married a younger man and have 2 little sisters, so it’s fun.

Back story: I had been contemplating getting a pin cushion for about a week. During my trip to Hobby Lobby today I finally just purchased the cheap (lame) tomato one, for $1.58 instead of the wicked-cool flower ones for $7.99. When I got home, I decided to get my sewing pins all on my new little tomato, sorted by color since I like to pin out my knitting projects with them all co-ordinated. (I mean, Hanie segregated her pins too so I knew it was OK since she’s all government-y and stuff.) After staring at my completed project, a thought popped in to my head, and I had to share it with Jenni (because that’s what we do).
